چکیده
Wildlife management and conservation requires monitoring of species distribution population indicators, especially when the unbalanced demographic changes some can affect whole ecosystem functioning. The populations wild boar (Sus scrofa) have, over past few decades, undergone an expansion around world, reaching situations overabundance that cause serious economic, ecological health problems. This numerical increase its new spatial invasion certain vulnerable in sensitive zones, such as main inland wetland complex SW Europe. In this context, we aim to (i) examine association abundance lagomorphs, waterbird productivity, controlling possible effects carnivores other environmental predictors, (ii) applying a survey method useful for managers evaluate expected effect abundance. Overall, presence has been detected 80.8% monitored wetlands (n = 26), but high variation rates was found. Wild negatively associated with productivity entire community waterbirds, priori highly vulnerable, breeding on shores or islands, both colonially (genus Gelochelidon, Himantopus, Recurvirostra, Sternula, Glareola, Tringa Phoenicopterus) solitary Anas, Spatula, Mareca, Charadrius, Vanellus, Anser, Ardea, Aythya, Fulica, Netta, Oxyura Tadorna). addition, evidenced clear negative rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus) wetlands. Rabbits are keystone study area represent stable prey many endangered predators. Our results suggest potential impacts caused by may be already unsustainable levels Inter-species integrated is key address plans preserve most species.

متن کاملSimulation of the catchments hydrological processes in arid, semi-arid and semi-humid areas
Hydrological processes and their spatial distribution directly are relevant to climate, topography, geology, and land use in the watershed. Therefore, use of a model whit integrity and high performance for simulating the process in deferent watersheds is very important. In this study was assessment performance of semi-distributed SWAT model in simulating hydrology processes in three watersheds ...

Browse tree legume leaves from Acacia spp (A. nilotica, A. tortilis, A. polyacantha), Dichrostachys sp, Flagea villosa, Piliostigma thonningii, Harrisonia sp were evaluated for nutritive potential (chemical compositions and degradability characteristics) compared to Gliricidia sepium. Effect of tannins anti-nutritive activity on digestibility was also assessed by polyethylene glycol (PEG) tanni...
متن کاملThe ecological boundaries of semi-arid wetland using a protocol enhanced by bird indicators: The international Alagol wetland of Iran
Wetlands as water resources have a special place in the semi-arid plateau of Iran and boundary determination is necessary for their effective conservation and conflict resolution among stakeholders that are dependent on these resources. Determination of the wetland boundaries should be commensurate with environmental features affecting on it which normally extend beyond water extent. Ecological...
